This voodoo, have you played upon me?

This voodoo, have you played upon me?

With my feet sinking into the soil

And my head, light and lifting for a balloon.

With my palate losing passion

And my teeth, munching upon in shut mills.

With my eyes craving black

And my body, trembling on fearful flashes.

With my tongue stumbling o'er pebbles

And my thoughts, winning marathons.

With all the warmth spread on my goose sweat

And all the chills down my spine
With my flesh losing heft

With a single war of anxiety

And all these wars, I wish, come to an end.

//High Functioning Anxiety: A variation of anxiety, though not a recognized medical disorder, if you have high functioning anxiety, you probably notice that your anxiety propels you forward rather than leaves you frozen in fear.

On the surface, you appear to be together and calm. However, the way you feel on the inside may be very different.
